She wears pink, often getting rescued by Mario, and has a ton of rule34 works done about her. These are things you don't know about Mario's favorite chick.
Her original appearance was changed later on
Shigeru Miyamoto, who drew the Peach's initial appearance, wasn't satisfied with the way she looked so he asked animator Yōichi Kotabe to redraw her with his instructions. He had asked Kotabe to draw her eyes to be "a little cat-like". With Kotabe's influence, Princess Peach changed considerably throughout her gaming system.
She didn’t move until 1988
It was too complicated for designers believed to make Peach into a movable character until Super Mario Bros 2 came to North America in 1988.
She is loosely based on Popeye’s girlfriend Olive Oyl
Nintendo originally wanted to make a Popeye-style arcade game, but due to copyright, this wasn’t possible.
However, they didn’t want to drop the idea altogether, and so they modeled Mario on Popeye and the female character (Peach’s forerunner)
on Olive Oyl.
No one called her Princess Peach outside Japan until 1994
In Japan, the characters's name has always been Peach (ピーチ姫, Pīchi-Hime, Princess Peach) since her debut in the original 1985 Super Mario Bros., but she would go on to be renamed "Toadstool" in the English language manual, which was the name used by everyone to refer to the pretty blonde.
The English version of Yoshi's Safari
(1993) marked the first usage of the name "Peach" in the Western world,
although she would go back to being named "Toadstool" in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (1994).
In Super Mario 64 (1996), she uses both names in a letter addressed to Mario, with "Peach" being used for her signature. From Mario Kart 64 (1996) and onward, the name "Peach" was kept unchanged for the English version of games in the franchise, and therefore, she still Peach.
Princess Peach is one of the yummiest chicks in video games
Peach doesn't always wear that modest pink dress she's famous for. In the 2005 five-on-five soccer game Super Mario Strikers, Her clothing is skimpier than usual, which resulted in her being considered one of the "hottest video game characters" by gaming journalism website GameDaily.
Princess Peach could be the cousin of Princess Daisy.
Princess Peach and Princess Daisy are very good friends, but some
people think their relationship could actually be a little more than
that.
The Prima Guide for Mario Kart Wii included a quote which described Daisy and Peach as cousins.
However, this has never been confirmed and there is no additional proof.
